Many people today work from home using an internet connection and a computer. Doing business is about managing income and expenditure. Income can be defined as the proceeds from sale of products or services and expenditure is the money you pay to make services or products available to your customers. You can make money using PayPal because it allows paying for your expenses and receiving money from customers at almost no risk to yourself.
With credit card fraud increasing, people are apprehensive about disclosing their credit card details. PayPal is the easiest and safest way to pay for things online as your credit card details are not disclosed. To pay for items you need to open an account and add a credit card. It will take you some days for PayPal to verify your credit card.
Alternatively you can add money to your PayPal account by bank transfer. Again PayPal requires you to verify your account before you can use it to transfer money to your PayPal account. If you work from home, the above two options allow you to make money using PayPal from anywhere around the world.
Customers can send money to your PayPal account from many countries and regions worldwide in variety of currencies. All they need to know is your e-mail address. However, to make money using PayPal you need to add your checking account to your PayPal account.
There is a detail however that is ignored by many who are new to PayPal. PayPal account holders residing in certain countries cannot receive payments using their PayPal accounts. When money is received from a customer into your PayPal account, you can either withdraw it electronically to your local bank account or by draft. You can check if your country is listed by logging into your PayPal account and scrolling down the User Agreement.
If you work from home and want to make money using PayPal, the fact that your PayPal account cannot receive money if you reside in certain countries should not discourage you. You can open a checking account in a US or Swiss bank. These countries allow nonresidents to legally open and operate bank accounts.
